Return to the Pacific Northwest

Return to the Pacific Northwest

SIFF Film Center

First, let’s get the new news out of the way: Parkway of Broken Dreams is finally coming to Seattle for a one-night-only screening at the SIFF Film Center on Thursday, January 13 at 7 p.m. Your humble director (who would never refer to himself in the third person, right?) Pj Perez will be there to host a post-screening Q&A and discussion with current Seattleites and featured interviewees Meagan Angus, Keith John Haubrich and Sharim Johnson, and the only thing missing now is YOU. Tickets are $15 and are now on sale online or at the SIFF Film Center box office. The theater only seats about 90 people, so we recommend not snoozing on grabbing your tickets in advance!

Of course, we actually just returned from the great Pacific Northwest (OK, it was like a month ago, but it sure doesn’t feel like it) for a super-fun and successful screening at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, Oregon. Thanks to everyone who came (including many folks from the Seattle-Tacoma area!) and to our Q&A panelists Frank DeFrancesco, Penina Finger and Chad Simmons for participating (and to scheduled panelist Dena Rash Guzman, who could not attend due to illness but was there in spirit for sure).

The Seattle show will be among one of the last theatrical screenings (barring any possible festival appearances) before Parkway of Broken Dreams will be available for home media (including DVD, video-on-demand, and streaming on select platforms)–as well as on select PBS member stations in the spring. Although there’s really no replacing the energy of seeing the film on a big screen surrounded by people laughing, clapping, and yes, even sometimes crying along with you, we know a lot of people out there have not been or are not able to attend an in-person screening, and we’re just as excited to make it available to everyone, no matter where they are.

All that said, stay tuned to this website or our social media channels to find out when those opportunities will be announced. Thank you for your support!
